Follow the Flow
If water flows through our lives each day, how does it reflect the way we live?
Follow the Flow (2024–2025) is an ongoing project by io wu, consisting of two hand-bound bilingual books — Follow the Flow and Let It Go — that together explore how water connects geography, culture, and emotion.
Water is not only a resource but also a mirror of how people live, think, and remember. Through field research in Asia and Europe, io wu traces the social, philosophical, and spiritual meanings of water across different landscapes — from Himalayan rivers to the reclaimed seas of the Netherlands.
The project reflects on how water reveals human perspectives shaped by geography: how communities living close to rivers or seas develop distinct relationships with flow, scarcity, and renewal.
